Ira Helfand is the Co-founder & past president of Physicians for Social Responsibility (PSR). Currently he serves as the co- President of International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War, IPPNW-1985 Nobel Peace Prize laureate organization. He is also a member of the international steering group of International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons, ICAN-2017 Nobel Peace Prize laureate organization. Currently practices as an internist and urgent care physician at Family Care Medical Center, Springfield, Massachusetts.
