DarwinPW Realty/CORFAC Helps Lampshades, Inc. Secure New Lease

DarwinPW Realty/CORFAC International Principal Ed Wabick and Vice President Chris Mergenthaler represented Lampshades, Inc., a manufacturer and distributor of lamp shades, in its new lease of 16,950 square feet at 5009 W. 66th Street in Bedford Park, Illinois. Colliers International’s John D’Orazio represented the building owner, Mumford Properties, in the transaction.

The tenant is relocating from a previous location along Ogden Avenue in Chicago. “Lampshades, Inc. is a local manufacturer that wants to keep its business and jobs in Cook County,” Wabick says. “They were happy to find this great space with an ample office and good access to Midway Airport and major highways.”

The units are part of a 255,000-square-foot building with 18’ clear height in the warehouse areas, access to four common docks, and 400 amps of power. It also has 2,400 square feet of office space. The building’s infill location is ideal for distribution to retailers around the city and suburbs.
